Community Impact

The LIFE Pregnancy Center is the only PRC in Fayette County. The population for the entire county is 28,609 as of the 2020 census. The median income is $47,308 with a 16.2% poverty rate. In 2021, the Center served 372 individual clients for 1607 visits. 95% of the clients regularly served are those who are in need of help with material items, parenting education, or emotional support.

The programs provided at the Center are not provided anywhere else in our county. All programs and services are completely free of charge to clients. We are the only program in Fayette County that provides infant car seats for parents. The parenting education offered for ages 0-5 is only available on a regular basis at LIFE Pregnancy Center. The Center is the Fayette County Court systems recommendation for court-ordered parenting education requirements. We offer this program at no charge to our clients or the county.

LIFE Pregnancy Center has a solid relationship with other agencies and programs within our community. We partner closely with Help Me Grow, Early Headstart, & Early Intervention. Annually these agencies and other organizations come together to hold a community event for all pregnant moms and parents with infants.

During Fayette County Fair week, the Pregnancy Center always sets up a booth that attracts MANY of our local youth and provides the opportunity to talk with them about their sexual, emotional, and spiritual health. These interactions encourage these teens and young adults to feel comfortable seeking services at the Center without judgment.
